The only sit-ski specific freeride ski in the industry
When the Thompson brothers, members of the BC Para-Alpine Ski Team, approached us in early 2010 they were confronted with two fundamental issues: they were struggling to get their ski to stay on top of powder, and they were breaking skis on a weekly basis. Both issues highlighted the inadequacy of traditional ski design when it comes to sit-skiing: picture the weight of the sit-skier, binding and bucket on a single ski and you quickly understand why heavy equipment breakage and lack of floatation are common issues among sit-skiers.
We put our engineers to the task and they came back with a couple of modified Crown skis, featuring a titanal and kevlar reinforced mid-section and sit-ski specific flex pattern. The Thompson bros used and abused them as their powder and freeride tools for the season, slayed the powder and crud, and never had to worry about their ski breaking after switching to Crown.
After a full season on the market, our sit-ski specific Satori is back for 2012 with new graphics, and remains the first and only sit-ski specific freeride ski in the industry - so you can focus on stomping that landing, not on whether your ski will survive it!
For 2012 we teamed up with the guys at Hands On Concepts (best mono-ski in the biz) to offer the sit-ski specific Satori with HOC binding inserts for complete system integration and even more bomber binding retention.
Our sit-skis are sold as single skis* so you get more ski for less! Why settle for anything less?
